Do you feel happy by doing a deed which means a lot to others...

If yes, please keep doing. But, if you start connecting it with cost-benefit and loss-profit calculations, then you must re-orient your thoughts towards the true purpose of that Deed. Still, if you do not get motivated to further continue your good deeds, then one must stop doing it.

There might be a situation wherein you love to do good to other, but financial stability is also of great importance to you. Then, one must start conceptualizing an idea of creating a venture which does what one likes to do and you get paid for the services you provide to the mankind.

Mind it, everyone (the needy) do not need that money or a service which improves their comfort level. There are numerous instances wherein need is emotional or spiritual or minor assistance in day to day chorus.

Upscaling those deeds to a scale which matters to a large mass of needy people is the one way for people to wants to do good, but also thinking passively for generating some revenues...
